The law requires that any personal advice you receive from us must be appropriate to your circumstances. While you have the right not to tell us personal information, if you don't, the advice you receive may not be appropriate to your needs and your financial situation. When we meet we will take you through a seven (7) step advice process encompassing information collection to presentation of recommendations and periodic reviews.
It is important to remember that you are in control and can decide whether to stop, change or continue at any stage of the process.

During our information gathering meeting we will ask you about you about where you are now, your expectations, and how you would like to live your life.
Then we will conduct the "fact find". This is where we ask about your personal circumstances and your attitude towards risk (whether you are a conservative or aggressive investor, or somewhere in between).
In order to tailor a financial plan to your requirements we will ask you for some detailed personal information eg your age, current personal & family income, future income (inheritances included), day-to-day expenses, family circumstances, future expenses, assets and liabilities, tax paid/owed, super and insurance situation, current investments, state of health, do you have dependants you need to provide for, if you are unable to work or if you die, do you have an up-to-date will, are you expecting any large expenses.
So when you come along to our first meeting, have this information ready and handy! More information.
Through our fact find discussions we will ask you to identify your personal (or family) goals these may include but are not limited to the following.
- When you want to retire?
- How you want to educate your children?
- Is a second home, like a holiday house, is important to you?
- Do you want to travel on overseas holidays annually?
It is important for you to identify your personal (and family) goals/objectives, take some time and think about it before our meeting as this information is critical in developing your financial plan!
